District Supply Assistants’ Association Submits Memorandum to MLA Over Key Demands

Kotpad, Feb 21: The Koraput District Supply Assistants’ Association submitted a memorandum containing three major demands to Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra at the Bhatra Samaj office, requesting him to raise the issues in the State Assembly.

The memorandum was submitted in the presence of supply assistants from all parts of Koraput district, under the chairmanship of association president Madhusudan Raut.

The key demands of the supply assistants are:

Increase the minimum monthly salary to Rs 22,000 and ensure payment through bank accounts
Regularize the appointments/jobs of supply assistants
Issue PDS (Public Distribution System) licenses in the names of the supply assistants
The MLA assured that after reviewing the demands, he would present them in the Assembly in the coming days. It was stated that this would benefit not only Koraput but supply assistants across all of Odisha.
All supply assistant members of the district attended the program and extended full support.
