Nabarangpur, Jan, 02: A public grievance hearing camp was held today at the Tentulikhuti Panchayat Samiti Conference Hall under the joint chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Md. Sandeep Sampat.
The camp was attended by Additional District Magistrate (General) Tapan Kumar Jhutia, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Biranchi Narayan Darwan, BDO Manoj Panigrahi, Tahasildar Pushpanjali Dandapat, along with all district-level departmental officers.
During the public hearing, a total of 27 applicants submitted their grievance petitions. Among them, 20 were individual complaints and 7 were village-level and collective issues. Two complaints were resolved immediately on the spot.
From the Social Security Department, one identified differently-abled person was provided with a wheelchair, and four beneficiaries were given Madhu Babu Pension Yojana cards with an assured pension amount of Rs 3,500.
On this occasion, during the district-level workshop organized as part of Good Governance Week (from the 19th to the 25th), District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, while presiding over the program, stated that complaints related to various government schemes and problems faced by the general public and beneficiaries are being addressed during every public grievance hearing, with some issues being resolved immediately.
He emphasized that public grievance redressal programs organized by the administration are an integral part of good governance. The district administration gives due importance to complaints related to the implementation of various Central and State Government schemes, and concerned officers take prompt action to resolve them.
The Additional District Magistrate (General), CDO, Zilla Parishad, BDOs, and other officials provided information about various schemes implemented by their respective departments. A PowerPoint presentation was also used to showcase different schemes of the Central and State Governments.
