Baipariguda: A district-level workshop was organized by the NGO ‘CWS’ at Baipariguda Block Office, focusing on forest land committee members.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including District Parishad Chairperson Sushree Sasmita Meleka as the chief guest. Other prominent attendees included Raghu Jani, a member of the District Forest Rights Act Committee, Group Development Officer Nibedita Dandasena, District Parishad Member Mani Jani, Committee Member Rajeshwar Mahuria, Sarpanch Sada Muduli, and other key officials.
More than 100 members from over 20 forest land committees participated in the workshop. During her address, Sushree Meleka emphasized the importance of protecting forests while ensuring the rights of those residing in them. She urged everyone to actively work towards securing individual forest land titles.
The workshop also included discussions on challenges in obtaining forest land rights. The session was conducted by State Program Officer Balakrishna Panda, while social activist Pradeep Maharana assisted in coordination and extended his gratitude before concluding the event.
