District-Level Tribal Pride Day and Birsa Munda Jayanti Celebrated with Great Respect

Nabarangpur, 19th Nov 2025:  The District-Level Tribal Pride Day of Nabarangpur was celebrated today at Dabugaon in Nabarangpur district. In this program, Lok Sabha MP Balabhadra Majhi attended as the chief guest, while Rajya Sabha MP Mujibulla Khan, MLAs Gauri Shankar Majhi, Manohar Randhari, and District Council Chairperson Motiram Nayak participated as distinguished guests.

On this occasion, speakers remembered the glorious legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and discussed various welfare schemes introduced for the upliftment of tribal communities.

A blood donation camp was also organized to mark the day. In addition, with the coordination of various district departments, a development exhibition was held.

In honour of Tribal Pride Day, three roads—connecting Umerkote, Jharigaan, and Nabarangpur—have been named after Bhagwan Birsa Munda, tribal freedom fighter Ravi Singh, and martyr Laxman Nayak.

Inauguration of the Newly Constructed Eklavya Residential School

To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the newly constructed Eklavya Residential School was inaugurated today virtually by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The school, constructed at a cost of ₹32 crore at Kurupa village under Godakhuta Panchayat of Dabugaon block, was inaugurated today.
