Deogarh, 5th Nov 2025: A district-level children’s programme titled “Shadow Parliament” was organized by the District Samagra Shiksha at the Deogarh College Auditorium. The event was inaugurated by Acting Chairperson of the Deogarh Municipality, Mr. Prajit Kumar Bhoja (Jhuna), in the presence of Additional District Education Officer Ms. Shakuntala Tete, who presided over the function.
The inaugural session was coordinated by CRC Coordinator Pranabandhu Ghadei. Among the distinguished guests were DIET Principal Mr. Santosh Kumar Gauda and Acting DIPRO Mr. Manoranjan Sutar, who graced the occasion as honored guests.
The programme was jointly coordinated by Mr. Lingaraj Raj Pradhan (Inclusive Education Coordinator), Ms. Siman Panigrahi (Girls’ Education Coordinator), and Mr. Srinibas Panda (SSA Programmer). A total of 32 students from four PM SHRI Schools of the district participated, forming ruling and opposition parties to simulate a parliamentary session in the competition.
The valedictory session was presided over by District Education Officer Mr. Gedera Kujur. The event’s “Speaker” Mr. Guru and panel of judges, including journalist Mr. Sanjib Kumar Panigrahi and planning & academic coordinator Mr. Tapan Kumar Sahu, were present as chief guests and presented awards to the participants.
The vote of thanks was delivered by CRC Coordinator Mr. Venus Kumar Pradhan.
The programme was successfully organized with the support of office assistants — Ms. Deepika Mishra, Ms. Jharana Behera, Mr. Shashank Choudhury, Mr. Ranjan Kumar Nayak, Mr. Debendra Das, and Mr. Sanjib Mishra — along with CRC Coordinator Mr. Chudamani Sahu, senior teachers Mr. Bhavani Shankar Pradhan and Ms. Soumitri Mohapatra, and teacher Ms. Mandakini Sahu.
All CRC coordinators, high school and upper primary school teachers, and staff members of the Samagra Shiksha office were present at the event.
