Navrangpur. Dec, 19:  The District-Level Science and Children’s Scientific Exhibition 2025 was recently held at Navrangpur Municipal High School. The inaugural ceremony was graced by District Collector Dr. M. Maheshwar Sai as the chief guest, and other distinguished guests included District Chief Medical Officer Santosh Panda and Omkar Pattnayak, President of the District Education and Training Institution. Additional attendees were District Education Officer Prakash Chandra Mahalik, District Science Inspector Chittaranjan Uccha Pattnayak, and Headmistress Mina Bag Manchasi of the Municipal High School. The program was presided over by District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu.

The program began with lamp lighting by the chief guest, the District Collector, and other attendees, marking the official inauguration of the event. In his address, the District Collector guided all the participating students and young scientists to develop new ideas and innovative thinking.

Students from various schools under different blocks of the district participated in the exhibition.

Exhibition Details:

A total of 130 projects were displayed.

The projects focused on themes related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to support Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

Topics included:

Sustainable agriculture

Waste management and alternatives to plastics

Green energy

Emerging technologies

Recreational mathematical modeling

Health and hygiene

Water conservation and management

A judging panel evaluated all the projects and selected 13 outstanding projects, out of which 7 projects were chosen to represent the district at the State-Level Science Exhibition.

Students’ Achievements:

In the Children’s Scientific Exhibition, the following students achieved success: Bishnu Mandal, Anvesha Suna, Pratima Pujari, Sasmita Jani, Naresh Pujari, Lovely Sahu, and Bhuvan Gand.

Under the National Innovation Campaign, students from the initial stage, such as Ankita Das, Dinesh Harijan, Babita Jani, and at the secondary level, Sai Muktesh Sahu, Dharam Dharamdei Bhitra, Om Prakash Lenka, also achieved success.

The closing ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Additional District Collector Tapan Khuntia and Sub-Divisional Officer Prakash Kumar Mishra, who distributed certificates of appreciation and awards to all participating students. The program concluded with Headmistress Mina Bag formally thanking the guests and participants.
