Nabarangpur,Dec, 04: Under the chairmanship of District Welfare Officer Rabindra Palka, the district-level “Sargiful” evening cultural program concluded at the Papadahandi Girls’ School campus.
The chief guest of the program, Minister of Mass Education, addressed the students, motivating them by saying that the key to success lies in their own hands. Other distinguished guests included MP representative Somnath Pujari, Project Administrator Rajiv Lochan Sahu, Additional District Welfare Officer Bharat Chandra Sahu, Nivedita Vishool, Satyabrata Behera, and Principal of Papadahandi School, Prabhati Behera.
During his chairperson address, District Welfare Officer Rabindra Palka emphasized that students can develop themselves while contributing to society through learning.
Students who excelled in various competitions were awarded by the guests. In the group dance competition, Anesa group secured first place, while Santoshpur High School won first place in solo dance. In the senior category, Tulsabhatara High School was recognized, and in the junior category, Anwesha School’s Bhagyajyoti Harijan was deemed eligible to participate in the state-level Sargiful program.
In the ball game competitions, Girls’ division was won by Uchha Madhyamik School, Karchamal, and Boys’ division by Bodmasigaon Uchha School.
In the science fair, Uchha Madhyamik School, Karchamal, along with eight other schools, will participate in the zonal-level science fair to be held in Kalahandi.
Students who excelled in speech, drawing, debate, creative writing, and quizzes were awarded on stage. Retired employees of the District Welfare Department were also honored with mementos and certificates.
The dance competition judges included renowned artists Phalguni Patra, Yugala Tripathi, and Pankaj Choudhury. The program was coordinated by teachers of the Welfare Department, along with Senior Revenue Assistant Jitendra Kumar Choudhury, Office Assistant Prakash Barik, and other staff members who provided support.
