Malkangiri,Jan 29: On the occasion of the upcoming District-Level Malyabanta Mahotsav, scheduled to be held from February 1 to February 5, a district-level Poets’ Meet was organized yesterday at the local Sanskruti Bhavan by the District Culture Council.
Poets from seven blocks of the district — Kalimela, Chitrakonda, Padia, Malkangiri, Korukonda, Mathili, and Khairput — participated in the event. More than 50 renowned senior poets from different parts of the district were present and recited their self-composed poems.
The program was conducted under the chairmanship of District Culture Officer Santras Narayan Panda. Deputy Director of the District Planning Board, Golak Chandra Dalai, attended as the Chief Guest and honored all participating poets by presenting them with certificates of appreciation.
The event was coordinated by former Odisha Sahitya Akademi member and researcher Banabasi (name as reported), who also guided the poetry session. The proceedings of the poetry recitation were skillfully managed and coordinated during the event.
All staff members of the District Culture Department extended their support in organizing and conducting the program successfully.
