Malkangiri,Jan 31: The District-Level PM SHRI Festival, organized by the District Education Office, was inaugurated in Malkangiri on 22/01 at 9:04 AM. The event will continue until 23/01.
The program was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Shri Somesh Upadhyay and convened by District Education Officer Shri Chittaranjan Panigrahi. The Chief Guest was Shri Nityananda Gond, Minister for School & Mass Education; ST & SC Development; Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare; Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Among the distinguished guests present were Malkangiri विधायक Shri Narasingha Madkami, Chitrakonda MLA Shri Mangu Khila, District Welfare Officer Shri Srinivas Achari, Chairman of Balimela NAC Shri Pradeep Kumar Nayak, MP’s representative Sanjay Jay Kumar Sarkar, Additional District Education Officer Smt. Manjulata Bhoi, and Additional District Education Officer Shri Bhagirathi Behera, among others.
On the occasion, the Hon’ble Minister distributed appointment letters to five beneficiaries under the Rehabilitation Scheme. He also unveiled a journal and formally released the Samagra Shiksha Malkangiri Calendar–2026.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Shri Gond stated that with strong determination, even the impossible can be achieved, and emphasized that hard work is essential for success in life.
The Minister also inaugurated the exhibition organized by students and unveiled the PM SHRI school wall magazine and “Gyan Kantha.” Various stalls were showcased at the event, including the Aspirational Fair “Inspire Odisha 2036” stall, PM SHRI Aspirational Students’ Council stall, PM SHRI Business Summit stall, Talent Gallery, vocational education stall, and creative displays by Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas featuring essays, stories, and Pattachitra artwork.
These activities aim to enhance students’ intellectual, mental, and overall development while promoting 21st-century life skills. The program was conducted by teachers, and its successful implementation was supported by Block Education Officer Malkangiri Smt. Mamata Sahu, BEO Ramesh Baroi, BEO Mathili Sumit Biswas, BEO Korukonda Gayatri Devi, Science Inspector Jagannath Behera, and other officials including Sandip Das, Jagadish Sethi, Ananta Behera, Danabandhu Bej, Sanatan Pradhan, Manoj Mohapatra, Jitu Ranjan Swain, Chaturbhuj Das, Sarat Kumar Das, Basudev Panda, along with the Headmistress and staff of the Nodal Government High School.
