Nabarangpur:Dec, 19:  The 16-day campaign to prevent gender-based violence and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women were observed at the district headquarters of Nabarangpur on Wednesday.

This year, the campaign focused on “Uniting to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls”. It was inaugurated on November 25 at the Dabugaon Mission Shakti Bhawan by the District Collector. The district-level celebration and campaign were conducted under the leadership of the District Collector, guided by the Department of Women and Child Development and the District Social Welfare Department, and implemented by the ISRD One Stop Center.

During the 16-day program, daily awareness activities against violence toward women and girls were carried out at the village, panchayat, block, and district levels, in coordination with various departments.

At the concluding event, individuals and officials from departments actively working to prevent violence against women and girls were honored at the district level. Draupadi Kahara, District Social Welfare Officer, welcomed all participants and highlighted the role of the One Stop Center in combating violence against women and girls. Ranjita Sahu, the Center Administrator, provided an overview of the 16-day campaign.

All of these individuals were honored for their contributions. The staff of the One Stop Center was also recognized by the district officials. Finally, Rama Pattnayak, Security Officer, expressed gratitude to all participants for their support.

The program was successfully conducted with the participation of Kishori Pattnayak (Legal Advisor), Smaranika Pattnayak (Legal Consultant), Jasmin Singh, Pini Khosla (Case Workers), Multi-Purpose Workers, and Tuni Kandhpan.
