Umerkote, Feb, 10: A district-level meeting of private schools in Nabarangpur district was held on Sunday at a hotel in Umerkote to discuss issues related to overall quality of education, curriculum, student safety, and fee regulations.

Representatives and managing directors of more than 30 private schools participated in the meeting and discussed the progress being made in implementing the New Education Policy. It was emphasized that students’ interests should be given top priority. Participants expressed the view that all private schools in Nabarangpur district should come together on a common platform to establish new standards to secure the future of students.

The meeting also discussed how to recover pending reimbursement funds from the government under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Representatives stated that despite providing free admissions under RTE provisions, many schools are facing financial pressure due to non-receipt of reimbursement from the government.
Various other issues concerning private schools were also discussed. In conclusion, a committee was formed to ensure discipline, quality education, and transparency in school management.

Kamakshya Prasad Satpathy was nominated as President of the committee. Kartik Mallick was appointed as Vice President, Swarnalata Pattnaik as Secretary, Rakesh Pattnaik as Joint Secretary, Manoj Kumar Choudhury as Treasurer, and Satyabrata Samal as Legal Advisor.
