Tentulikhunti ,28th Oct 2025: A district-level meeting of the Jagannath Chetana Research Institute, Puri, was held on Saturday at the Jagannath Temple premises in Tentulikhunti, Nabarangpur district. Members from the central, state, district, and regional committees attended the program.
At the start of the event, Karunakar Pradhan, Secretary of the Central Committee, lit the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the program. This was followed by a two-minute silent prayer in memory of the late Pramod Dash. Along with State President Radheshyam Panda, all attendees chanted a meditation mantra in unison.
Regional Editor, Rabindra Nath Parida, introduced all members and delivered the welcome address. He also proposed organizing a Jagannath event in Kotia, Koraput district in the coming days. The State President informed that Jagannath’s rituals and annual festival would be celebrated in Puri over two days on 20th and 21st December. It was also mentioned that dignitaries like the Gajapati Maharaja, Governor, and heads of various mathas were likely to attend.
The President discussed how information about the upcoming December program in Puri would be communicated and how it could be organized at the district, state, and national levels. During the meeting, State Editor Pramod Kumar Pattnayak participated, while educationist Sanat Kumar Joshi conducted a peace lesson.
At this meeting, the new Nabarangpur district committee was formed and the names of the members were announced. Among the new members:
- President: Damodar Bishoyi
- Vice President: Parshuram Bishoyi
- Editor: Sushant Kumar Sahu
- Joint Editors: Dr. Amaresh Prasad Mahanti and Pratap Chandra Sahu
- Joint Coordinators: Himanshu Shekhar Bishoya and Jagannath Nayak
- Treasurer: Bishwajit Banik
Members of the district committee and the President of Jagannath Temple were also present. Finally, Parshuram Bishoyi thanked all attendees for their participation.
