Nabarangpur:24th Sept 2025: As part of the Seva Pakshwada (Fortnight of Service) celebrations, a grand district-level marathon was organized in Nabarangpur. The race began from Sadashiv Park in the district headquarters and concluded at Police Padia.
Participants included students from the Mass Education Department and District Welfare Department, along with members from various educational institutions, sports organizations, and several private entities. The event was conducted with the support of the District Sports Association and the district administration.
The event was flagged off by honourable MP (Lok Sabha) Balabhadra Majhi, who attended as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included:

- All were felicitated and awarded by the dignitaries.
In his address, MP Shri Majhi encouraged youth from all segments of society to actively participate in various sports to be held in the future — from the Panchayat level up to the Parliamentary constituency level.
The event’s success was made possible through the cooperation of the Municipal Council, including Jati Paricha, Shashank Shekhar Behera, Ram Das, and sports teachers from the Mass Education and Welfare Departments.
