District-Level Anti-Corruption Awareness Week Observed with Public Participation

Malkangiri, 6th Nov 2025:  In Malkangiri district, Anti-Corruption Week has been observed from 27th October to 2nd November. On this occasion, a district-level anti-corruption awareness meeting was held at the District Council Hall under the chairmanship of Additional District Collector Somnath Pradhan.

Even after many years of India’s independence, corruption persists, preventing India from becoming a fully developed nation. Greed beyond necessity continues to promote corruption. Mr. Pradhan emphasized that if citizens remain alert and conscious, the root cause of corruption can be addressed, helping build a developed nation. He called upon every citizen to awaken this mindset.

  • Executive Officer Naresh Chandra Shabar
  • Deputy Superintendent of Malkangiri Anti-Corruption Branch, Sadananda Pani
  • Project Administrator of Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Haldhar Shabar
  • District Welfare Officer, Srinivas Achari
  • Anti-Corruption Range Officer, Ramesh Raut
  • Mr. Pani urged everyone to unite and raise their voice against corruption. He administered the oath of integrity to the participants. Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya presented the patriotic song Bande Utkal Janani, and college-level students who had excelled in various activities were honored.

In the morning, a awareness rally was organized from the District Collector’s office to the District Council. The rally included traditional folk dances from the district. Participants included college students, self-help groups, district-level officials, and employees of the Anti-Corruption Department. The event was coordinated by District Information and Public Relations Officer, Pramila Majhi.

The program was organized in collaboration with the District Council, District Education Department, Integrated Tribal Development Agency, and District Information and Public Relations Department.
