District Legal Services Authority Hosts Camp to Promote Legal Identity Awareness

Jeypore – To provide legal identity, the District Legal Services Authority organized a training session under the directive of the National Legal Services and State Legal Services Authorities. Under the supervision of District Legal Services Authority Chairperson Shri Pradeep Kumar Mahant, a peer committee was formed. A meeting and training session for this district peer committee was held in the ADR conference room.

The training session was chaired by Additional District Judge and Honorary Chairperson Dr. Sanghamita Das. The session was attended by Secretary and Permanent Judicial Magistrate of Lok Adalat, District Legal Services Authority Koraput, Jeypore, Mrs. Pradyomayi Sujata, officials from seven tahsils of the district, District Health Officer of the Health Department, District Social Welfare Officer, District Child Protection Officer, Additional District Education Officer, Juvenile Police Officer, representatives of five child care institutions, panel lawyers of District Legal Services Authority, paralegal volunteers, and workers.

The campaign focused on providing clear information about children who are helpless, under 18 years old, without parents or guardians, living without permanent shelter or protection on roads, in slums, or railway stations. It covered orphaned children, children in child care institutions, abandoned or rescued children, children engaged in begging or child labor, unregistered children, and any other children without proper identity.

The training session was smoothly conducted by Shri Divakar Rao. At the conclusion, Shri Harish Chandra Muduli thanked everyone for their participation and for making the program successful.
