Nabarangpur, 4th Oct 2025: : On the occasion of Maa Durga Puja in Kosagumuda, the District Kinnar Association extended financial assistance to members of the local Puja Committee. During the event, several committee members including Sarpanch Haribandhu Bhatara were present.
From the Kinnar Association, President Kajal Kinnar, Secretary Chumuki Kinnar, along with Smruti, Preeti, Anita, Barsha, Baidi, Radha, Tulasi, Shibani, Kavita, and Ipsita Kinnar prominently contributed towards this financial support.
It is noteworthy that earlier too, the members of the District Kinnar Association have undertaken various noble initiatives like blood donation and distribution of umbrellas and blankets to the underprivileged. Since the formation of the Kinnar Association in Nabarangpur district, the community has been able to establish a distinct identity in society.
District Association President Manoj Kumar Pattnaik stated that such efforts have created a unique and independent identity for the kinnars in the region. Their inspiring initiatives have been widely appreciated by the local residents as well as dignitaries such as Association Advisors Jagannath Mahapatra, Project Leader M. Bala Krishna Rao, Legal Advisor Ramprasad Patra, Advisors Akhel Bhatt, Nini Babu Tripathy, Durga Padhi, and Women Advisors Dr. Sanyukta Panda, Sharmistha Deo, who extended their best wishes to the community.
