Jharsuguda ,Jan 30: In view of the upcoming Panchayat elections, a district executive meeting of the Congress party was held in Jharsuguda to strengthen the party’s base in the district. Recalling Jharsuguda as a former Congress stronghold, party representatives and workers gathered together, and newly selected office-bearers were felicitated.

It was emphasized that the party would reach out to people in villages, rural areas, and urban centers to make them aware of Rahul Gandhi’s pro-people initiatives and efforts undertaken in the national interest. The meeting also resolved to intensify its voice against the government on issues such as paddy procurement from farmers, alleged irregularities in the installation of smart meters by Tata Power under the Electricity Department, and other public concerns.

The newly appointed office-bearers are as follows:

Vice Presidents: Manmohan Jha, Rajesh Shukla, Bhagirathi Patra, Alek Kumar, Prashant Singh Deo, Sumitri Pere, and Riaz Hussain.
General Secretaries: Manish Bajpai, Satya Mohanty, Salim Khan, Siddharth Patiyoshi, and Sukadev Bag.
Treasurer: Shailesh Ashwasti.

Secretaries: Kajal Ghosh, Madan Singh, Debendra Swain, Prakash Sriwas, Pabitra Oram, Sukanta Patel, Salim Patel, Deepak Sahu, Phulendra Gardia, Tanmaya Kusum, Manoj Jaipuria, Debananda Barik, Sunil Padhi, Dukhbandhu Pan, and Jagadish Patra.
Executive Members: Bharat Aswasti, Siyaram Das, Prashant Tripathi, Krishna Chandra Bhoi, Chethi Prasad Shukla, Pramod Panda, Alok Panda, Brijesh Sharma, Alimuddin Waresi, Subrata Pradhan, Manab Ghosh, Laxminibas Ketan, and Ashok Mishra.
At the block level, the newly appointed Presidents are Debananda Barik, Artatrana Benia, Bhaskar Patel, Dolamani Mahanand, Nrupalal Naik, Pooja Naik, Dhiren Biswal, and Suresh Jaipuria.

District Congress President Sarthak Das announced that Debesh Panda has been appointed as the Media Chairman and Spokesperson.
