Tentulikhunti,13th Nov 2025:  Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain visited PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Khatiguda, yesterday. Upon his arrival, the students presented a Guard of Honour to the Collector and Tentulikhunti BDO Manoj Kumar Panigrahi. The school’s Principal, Dr. Pitabas Praharaj, welcomed them warmly.

A Management Committee Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Swain. Those present included Dr. Pitabas Praharaj, Principal of Navodaya Vidyalaya; Chhatrapati Sahu, District Education Officer of Nabarangpur; Sudipta Kumar Dash, Block Education Officer; P. Sitaram, Vice-Principal; Binay Kumar Behera, Principal of Indravati High School; Pradeep Kumar Hota, English teacher from Kendriya Vidyalaya; and Debendra Jagannath Nayak, representative of the Zilla Parishad Chairperson.

Also in attendance were Engineer K. Santosh Kumar from the Rural Water Supply Department and parent representatives Dinabandhu Parida and Pruthuraj Paikaray, among others. They discussed various important issues and requested the Collector to take positive steps to address them.

Dr. Swain remarked that Navodaya Vidyalayas play a unique and vital role in providing quality education. District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu emphasized the participation of Navodaya students in various inter-school competitions.

Concerns were raised regarding the need for constructing an auditorium and improved sanitation facilities for students. The District Collector took note of all the issues and assured that necessary positive actions would be taken.

Among others present were English teacher Mukesh Gehlot, teachers Y.P. Singh, Sanjay Singh Bhora, Sushant Kumar Pal, senior officials Sujata Sahu, Santosh Kumar Mahanti, and Paresh Kumar Panda.
