District Collector Turns Teacher During Field Visit at Samalkha Nagir

Samalkha Nagiri, 22nd Aug 2025:, District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay visited the Bandaghat and Mudulipada areas of Khairput block. During his visit, the Collector personally taught English and Sanskrit lessons to 7th and 8th grade students at SSDI Girls’ High School, Mudulipada.

He also interacted with students of SSDI Girls’ and Boys’ High School, Mudulipada, inquiring about their facilities, challenges, and learning environment. Additionally, he discussed ways to improve the local tourist site, Sitakunda, giving instructions to the Public Works Department (PWD) and BDO for development through video presentations.

During the visit, the Collector reviewed Anganwadi centers, PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) housing construction, and ongoing construction projects, directing officials to expedite completion. He also inspected the new PHC building at Mudulipada to understand its progress and facility provisions.

The Collector emphasized ensuring high-quality development works in tribal areas, including roads, bridges, and housing, and instructed PWD and BDO officials to ensure projects are completed within the government-specified timelines.

During the visit, he also checked the construction of additional classrooms at Govindpalli U.G.M.E School and the new Panchayat building at Govindpalli, ensuring that development initiatives benefit the primitive tribal communities and integrate them into the mainstream society.
