District Collector Listens to Public Issues in Joint Grievance Hearing

Jeypore, 20th Nov 2025:  A Joint Grievance Hearing of the District Collector was held at the conference hall of the Kundura Block Office in Koraput district. The camp was conducted under the chairmanship of Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Nayak. A total of 61 grievances were heard—33 group grievances and 28 individual grievances.

Among the group grievances were demands such as creation of a new panchayat in Rajswa village of Kerameti Panchayat, installation of a mobile tower in Masigaon Panchayat, new tube-well construction and road repair at Kandayodi–Kandhasahi in Kerameti Panchayat, electricity connection in Nuaguda of Phulbhatta Panchayat, providing Lakshmi bus service in Bishbhatta, repairing the Phulbhatta–Ghatikati road, construction of a check-dam along farmland, resolving various issues at Ekalavya School, construction of roads and drains, construction of a homeopathy medical building at Baragaon, construction of a godown and completion of the panchayat building at Pakhanaguda Panchayat, expediting bus service from Panchayat headquarters to Block headquarters, submission of a memorandum by the Krushak Kalyan Manch regarding farmers’ issues, appointment of PEO in the block, construction of an ANM center at Jabapatraput, repair of the Hatkhudupi–RDC road, appointment of teachers at Raniguda School, and construction of additional classrooms and drains at Kadalimunda, among others.

Individual grievances included requests related to irrigation facilities for farmland, issuance of land pattas, land disputes, housing, financial assistance for medical treatment, employment, compensation for crop damage, and issuance of homestead land pattas.

After hearing the grievances, the Additional District Collector of Koraput instructed the respective departmental officers for immediate action.

Present on the occasion were CDM & PHO N. Satapathy, CDO Benudhar Sabar, Jaipur Sub-Collector Akbaram Sasy Rengy, acting Block Chairperson Taruni Sen Bisoi, Kundura Block Development Officer P. Manasmita, Tahasildar Binod Kumar Nayak, along with all district, subdivision, and block-level administrative officers, sarpanchs, and samiti members.
