Kotpad, Dec, 13: A joint public grievance hearing was conducted in the premises of the Kotpad Block Office. Koraput District Collector Manoj Satyavan Mahajan presided over the session and heard a total of 46 complaints. Among these, 18 were individual complaints and 28 were group complaints. SP Rohit Verma and several other district-level officials were present at the hearing. Women informed the Collector about various issues faced by farmers and the mismanagement occurring at the Kundura river ghat.
Senior advocates Pankaj Kumar Patra and Pradeep Bakshi informed the SP about the need to install more and better-quality CCTV cameras in Kotpad town. To ensure timely resolution of the problems raised, the District Collector issued instructions to the concerned departmental officials.
Sarpanches of various panchayats, Block Chairperson Kamala Bhatra, Vice-Chairman Tapan Panigrahi, Tehsildar Twinkle Sethi, SDPO Satyabrata Lenka, and Police Station IIC Paramananda Sunani, among others, were present and assisted in conducting the grievance hearing.
