Malkangiri, 16th Oct 2025: A Joint Grievance Hearing Camp was organized by the Malkangiri district administration on Monday at the Balimela Nagar Bhavan premises, under the jurisdiction of the Balimela Bijeepita Panchayat Samiti.
As per the directions of the District Collector, the camp was presided over by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Somanath Pradhan and District Police Officer Akshak Vinod Patil, along with several senior officials including:
Naresh Chandra Sabar – CDO and Executive Officer, Malkangiri Zilla Parishad
Haldhar Sabar – PI & TDA
Pradeep Kumar Nayak – Chairman, Balimela NAC
Debi Prasad Dora – Executive Officer, Balimela NAC
Amulya Kumar Sahu – Group Development Officer, Korukonda
Natabar Garada – Tehsildar, Chitrakonda
These officials listened to public grievances raised by citizens during the camp.
Nature and Number of Complaints:
A total of 26 complaints were heard, which included:
6 complaints related to employment
4 related to social security benefits (allowances)
1 related to land patta (land ownership/title)
4 regarding road and culvert construction
1 concerning electricity connection
1 related to forest land patta (title)
3 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY – housing scheme)
3 regarding Balimela medical issues
3 other miscellaneous complaints
School Visit and Midday Meal Inspection:
After the hearing session, ADM Somanath Pradhan, District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi, and other officials visited the Balimela Government High School. They inspected the quality of the Midday Meal, interacted with students to understand the status of teaching and learning, and visited various parts of the school campus.
The District-Level Officers, BDOs, and Tehsildars were also present during the grievance camp.
