Nabarangpur, Dec, 05: A meeting of the DISHA Committee was held today at the Nabarangpur District Council Auditorium. The meeting, chaired by Member of Parliament Majhi, reviewed the progress of all central go vernment schemes being implemented in the district.
Discussions included the PM Gati Shakti Bharatmala Project, the Jaipur–Nabarangpur–Junagadh–Nabarangpur railway connections, and other related infrastructure initiatives. Guidance was given on simplifying loan disbursement under the Mudra Scheme.
Concerns were raised about internet connectivity in the district: many Panchayats do not have proper internet access, which hampers the implementation of digital initiatives.
In MGNREGA, it was noted that among 2,39,038 active job card holders, only 2,871 individuals received work for 100 days. Directions were issued to increase this number. It was also reported that 1,802 households would be electrified through solar energy.
The meeting further discussed activities related to health, education, transportation, and forest departments. Frustration was expressed over the absence of officials from the irrigation department responsible for household and lift irrigation projects.
