Belaguntha, : Today, a “Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” (Advanced Agricultural Resolution Campaign) was held at the Kalyan Mandap of Dhumuchhai village under Belaguntha block. The program was organized under the joint initiative of various central institutions under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and state government departments related to agriculture and farmer empowerment.
Senior scientists like Dr. Sutanuka Kumar Satapathy from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ganjam-1, Dr. Romesh Kumar Jena from IIWM, Dr. Santosh Kumar Samantray from KVK Ganjam-1, District Agriculture Officer Bhanjanagar Byomkesh Mishra, Group Agriculture Officer A.K. Mahapatra, Assistant Agriculture Officer Sanghamitra Das, along with officers from the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Departments, local Sarpanch, and Panchayat Samiti members participated in the event.
Group Agriculture Officer A.K. Mahapatra introduced the guests and coordinated the entire program.
Around 250 farmers participated in the event. The attending officials provided insights and awareness on various government schemes such as:
Crop Insurance Scheme
Jalanidhi Yojana (Irrigation Scheme)
Farmer Registration
Soil Health Cards, and
Solutions to various agricultural challenges.
Field-level agriculture staff, ATMA, and Krushak Sathi workers also supported the event, especially in farmer registration activities.
