Nabarangpur: The Dhooni Temple Inauguration Festival in Beheda, under Umarkote subdivision of Nabarangpur district, has reached its final stage of preparation. The festival is set to begin on March 2, 2025, and has already created a buzz among the local residents. According to locals, the atmosphere will become even more devotional in the coming days.
The three-day-long uninterrupted Yajna (sacred fire ritual) will take place, with saints and sages arriving from far and wide. Spiritual leaders such as Balakrishna Baba, Indramani Baba, Damburuhar Baba, Tularam Baba, Yogendra, Sana, Chandra, Yadumani, Neelambar, and Nityananda Dibakar Baba are expected to grace the event.
On Sunday at 7:00 AM, the Kalash Yatra (sacred water pot procession) will commence, followed by the Akhandavati Pujan, Brahma Sthapana (divine installation) at 9:30 AM. From 10:00 AM onwards, devotional singing (Naam Bhajan, Sankirtan) and continuous offerings (Ahorkshatra) will take place. Every evening, prasad (sacred food) distribution has been arranged.
Throughout the festival, Beheda will resonate with cultural performances such as drama and devotional music. Additionally, various stalls, local markets, and shops have been set up, drawing large crowds from surrounding areas.
A farewell felicitation ceremony has also been planned for the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Nabarangpur as part of the event.
