Dhenkanal, Tuberculosis (TB) is not a complex disease and can be completely eradicated with modern medical treatment. However, patients need to face the disease with patience and courage. Based on this principle, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has called for transforming the TB-free program in Dhenkanal district into a mass movement through public awareness campaigns.

To make Dhenkanal TB-free, Pradhan has urged senior citizens, youth organizations, social groups, and the public to actively participate in the “TB-Free – Nikshay Mitra” campaign. He emphasized that health is the foundation of life—an inseparable part of our existence. With this in mind, both the President and the Prime Minister have launched the “TB-Free India Mission – Nikshay Mitra” to achieve a TB-free India by December 2025, encouraging every citizen to contribute.
