Patna, 15th Nov 2025: T he 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram is a moment of pride and cultural consciousness, which rekindles the deep love for Mother India in the hearts of every Indian, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He made these remarks while attending a program in Patna alongside Union Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders.

Minister Pradhan said that Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s timeless composition became a source of strength and unity during the freedom movement. Even today, it inspires us to follow the path of nationalism and duty. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is rapidly progressing toward the vision of a developed India. The spirit of Vande Mataram strengthens our collective consciousness.

This historic occasion calls upon us to resolve that national interest, national policy, and national service will remain our top priority, and that we will play a significant role in building a new India.

He added that the year-long commemorative celebrations initiated by the Prime Minister around this national song are not merely a festival, but an opportunity to remind ourselves of our national consciousness. The song inspired courage, unity, and self-respect among Indians at every stage of the freedom struggle.

The special commemorative stamp and postal envelope released by the Prime Minister serve as a lasting symbol of our collective respect and reverence for the national song, said Minister Pradhan.
