Devotees Celebrate Kumari Kanya Pujan and Sindoor Puja with Fervor

Bhubaneswar,29th Sept 2025:  At the Bishnu Temple in Sahid Nagar, the Kumari Kanya Pujan (worship of young unmarried girls) and Sindoor Puja were ceremoniously held. The chief guest, Mahanta Ramakrishna Das Maharaj, graced the occasion, along with Swami Mananda Saraswati, Krishna Premananda, chief advisor Nishikanta Mishra, honored guests Prabhakar Mallik, Dr. Arati A. Kar, Shashikanta Rath (Editor, Puri Bhakta Samaj), Rabin Narayan Mahapatra, Editor Ramanath Mishra, and President Dr. Narayan Mahapatra, among others.

The Kumari Kanya Pujan began at 5 PM on Saturday. During the event, the ‘Bahurupa’ magazine was officially released by the Trust. This was followed by a spiritual discourse program (Kathamrita) and a Guru Puja ceremony.

As part of bidding farewell to Goddess Adi Shakti, women offered sindoor (vermilion powder) to the deity and also applied sindoor on themselves—a ritual known as Sindoor Puja.

Key contributors and supporters of the event included Suresh Mishra, Trilochan Nayak, Bansidhar Nayak, Subas Jagati, Ranjan Samal, Ajay Das, and Akshaya Sahu.
