K. Nuagaon: A joint public grievance hearing camp was organized today at the K. Nuagaon Block Conference Hall in Kandhamal district. In the absence of the District Collector, Dr. Reena Pradhan, the Deputy Collector of Baliguda, conducted the hearing. She received 74 complaints—both individual and group-related—and directed various departmental officials for necessary actions and resolutions.
Out of the total, 66 were individual grievances, and 8 were group complaints. During the camp, financial assistance (pension benefits) was provided to three individuals, and a wheelchair was given to one person. Additionally, land deeds (pattas) were distributed to 72 people.
One of the major issues raised by guardians was regarding the girls’ hostel of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in Kudutuli. Although construction of the hostel was completed long ago, it has not been made operational due to lack of formal handover by the school authorities. The parents demanded immediate activation of the hostel.
Present at the event were Kandhamal Superintendent of Police Harish B.C., Additional District Magistrate Kushal Chandra Nayak, Baliguda ITDA PA Krupasindhu Bhoi, Tehsildar Anand Kumar Panda, BDO Shubhranjali Pradhan, Assistant Executive Engineer Shobham Mahapatra, Assistant Engineer Prakash Kumar Sethy, Soil Conservation Officer Ravi Narayan Bhuyan, Horticulture Extension Officer Burumajhi Patra, Assistant Horticulture Officer Vibhu Dutta Biswal, BEO Vibhu Pada Das, Forest Guard Shushanu Kumar Vaishakhi, Gram Panchayat Executive Officer Anil Kumar Pattnaik, and CP Rakesh Kumar Sahu, along with other district and block-level officials.
All block employees cooperated in the smooth conduct of the camp
