Bhubaneswar: Cold and dry winds from the northwest have entered the state. As a result, over the past three days, the minimum temperatures in some cities have dropped by more than 9°C. Winter conditions have returned to districts like Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Angul, Kandhamal, Boudh, Subarnapur, and Koraput.
In Rourkela, the minimum temperature has dropped to 8.8°C. On February 6, Rourkela recorded a minimum temperature of 18.8°C, which plummeted to 8.8°C by the 9th. Similarly, in Jharsuguda, the night temperature decreased from 18.3°C on the 6th to 9.7°C on the 9th. Both cities experienced a significant temperature drop—9.2°C in Rourkela and 8.6°C in Jharsuguda.
