Chipilima: There has been a demand for school bus service for students from Dhanakauda Block Zone-2, especially those from Bishalkhinda, Sasan, and Kanakhinda, who attend Kalamati Adarsha Vidyalaya in Sambalpur district’s Dhanakauda block. According to reports, students from Zone-1 of the block already have access to school bus services. However, students from Zone-2, particularly from Chipilima area including villages like Kardola, Kudgunderpur, Basantpur, and Kalamati across four panchayats, are facing difficulties commuting as there is no hostel facility at the school.
Due to the lack of bus service, these students are struggling with transportation issues. A few months ago, students from Zone-1 panchayats like Kilasama received bus services, highlighting a clear disparity. Recently, parents of students from Gandamunda panchayat met the District Collector and demanded bus service for their children. Following the Collector’s direction, a bus was arranged through Hindalco CSR support from Panthira.
Now, students and parents are urging the district administration to consider the problems and future of Zone-2 students and provide bus services promptly. Additionally, there is a growing demand for establishing hostel facilities at the Adarsha Vidyalaya to ease student hardships.
