Dedication in Duty: Female Constable Manages Work While Carrying Child at Maha Kumbh Mela

New Delhi, On Saturday night, there was a huge crowd at the New Delhi railway station as people were heading to the Maha Kumbh Mela. Amidst this, a tragic stampede occurred, resulting in the deaths of 18 people and injuries to many others. Following the incident, security and crowd control measures at the railway station were tightened. Police personnel who were on leave had their leaves canceled and were instructed to report for duty.

During this time, a female constable from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) was seen controlling the crowd at the station while carrying her child on her chest. This has sparked widespread discussion on social media. In a viral video circulating on social media platform ‘X,’ the female constable is seen with her one-year-old child strapped to her chest while holding a baton in her hand.

After the video went viral, the RPF responded, stating, “She serves, she nurtures, and she manages everything. She is a proud mother and a warrior standing on her own feet.” Her name is Reena, and she is a constable of the RPF 16th Battalion. The post has been viewed by 3.8 lakh (380,000) people.
