Bhubaneswar, 19th Sept 2025: The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will begin from Thursday and is scheduled to continue till September 25. This session will have a total of seven working days.
Out of these:
September 19 is reserved exclusively for Private Members’ Business,
The remaining six days will be allocated for Government Business.
Yesterday, Speaker Surama Padhy convened an all-party meeting, urging cooperation from all political parties to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the House proceedings.
On the first day of the session, no legislative business will be conducted. Instead, the House will pay tribute to late MLA Rajendra Dholakia, as per the official announcement.
Despite the short duration of the session, it is considered to be quite significant from various political and administrative perspectives.
