Koraput, 30th Aug 2025: Residents of Koraput and Rayagada will soon get a daytime train service to Bhubaneswar, following a green signal from the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh had written to the Railway Minister, demanding a daytime train service, a long-standing request from the residents of Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Rayagada, who have been facing significant inconvenience due to the absence of such a service.
Responding to the request, the Railway Ministry has instructed officials to conduct inspections for starting a new train service connecting Koraput, Rayagada, Brahmapur, and Bhubaneswar, after which further steps will be taken. Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh and Lok Sabha candidate Kaliram Majhi have expressed their gratitude to the Railway Minister for approving this long-awaited service.
