Koraput: In Koraput district, Binod Khosla has received strong support from over a hundred Biju Janata Dal (BJD) workers for the position of Dasmantpur Block President. The current block president has held the post for over ten years. Due to this, elected representatives from 16 panchayats—including panchayat presidents, sarpanches, samiti members, ward members—as well as senior leaders of BJD and hundreds of grassroots workers, submitted a written appeal at the DRDA office endorsing Khosla’s candidacy. The meeting witnessed enthusiastic backing for Khosla, with strong demand for leadership change.

Ongoing debates and discussions continue regarding this issue. It is being speculated that if Binod Khosla is not appointed as the new Dasmantpur BJD Block President, many party workers may resign in protest—a concern they have already expressed to the media.

Who will be appointed as the next Block President has become a topic of wide discussion among intellectual circles, raising significant questions about the party’s direction. Meanwhile, the demand to elect Binod Khosla continues to gather momentum. Attempts were made to contact the Koraput District BJD President for a comment, but he was unavailable at the time.
