Nabarangpur,Jan, 16:  The 23rd Annual Festival of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dabugaon in Nabarangpur district was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The programme was held under the chairmanship of the school’s Managing Committee President M. Suryanarayan Subuddhi.

The Chief Guest of the event was Cluster Education Officer Rashmita Netam, while the Keynote Speaker was Bipin Bihari Mishra, former District Chief Ayurvedic Health Officer. The Managing Secretary Sanjay Kumar Padhi and the Headmaster Satya Narayan Choudhury were also present on the dais.

After the introduction of the guests by Secretary Sanjay Padhi, the President M. Suryanarayan Subuddhi delivered the welcome address. Headmaster Satya Narayan Choudhury presented the annual report and spoke in detail about the activities and progress of the school.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Rashmita Netam advised that children should be given opportunities to grow without unnecessary mental pressure. Keynote Speaker Bipin Bihari Mishra emphasized the importance of providing children with intellectual, spiritual, and physical development, along with life-skill training besides formal education.

Former Treasurer of the Managing Committee Suresh Behera proposed the vote of thanks.
On this occasion, two former students, A. Lavanya and Liyabanti Ansari, were felicitated. The newly formed Matr Mandali (Mothers’ Committee) and all teachers, teachers (Guruji and Guruma), and Sevika Ma’s of the Shishu Mandir were also honoured.
Students who excelled in sports and other activities in various competitions held earlier were awarded prizes by the guests.

In the evening, students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir presented a colourful cultural programme. Their performance titled “Even Today, Mother Is Still Crying” was especially touching and well-received by the audience.

Among others present were Treasurer Kishore Lal, Vice-President Mangaraj Majhi, Joint Secretary Rameshwar Subuddhi, members Sujnani Behera and Anupama Ningi, along with Nitya Guruji, Pradeep Guruji, Ashish Guruli, and other teachers, who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
