Bhubaneswar, 25th Oct 2025:  The Odisha Cyber Security Campaign – 2025, launched to raise awareness about cyber security among the general public, is progressing successfully. The campaign was inaugurated on 18th October 2025 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, where 16 cyber vans were flagged off to begin the initiative.

This campaign is operational across all 34 police districts of Odisha, covering both urban and rural areas. So far, a total of 202 awareness programs have been organized in 27 districts. These programs included rallies, seminars, workshops, and public meetings, with over 63,692 citizens participating.

In various districts, 37 inauguration ceremonies and 11 cyber van awareness drives have been conducted. Awareness sessions have been held in schools, colleges, and public places, along with distribution of pamphlets at important locations and screening of cyber security videos on large panels.

Rayagada district has set up a ‘Cyber Museum’ to promote cyber security awareness. In Angul district, a “Lost Mobile Phone Return Fair” was organized, through which 101 lost mobile phones were returned to their owners.

Among districts with the highest participation, Baleshwar recorded 8,100 participants, Sundargarh – 6,616, Kalahandi – 6,235, Bargarh – 6,150, and Kandhamal – 6,080. Feedback from citizens has been extremely encouraging, indicating growing awareness and interest in cyber security across Odisha.

The campaign aims to engage even more people in the coming days and help create a safer cyber environment across the state.

In summary, the Odisha Cyber Security Campaign 2025, initiated at the State Police Headquarters, continues to make significant progress in spreading cyber security awareness among the public.
