Cyber Fraud Public Awareness Program Held to Educate Citizens

Umarkot,14th Nov 2025: A public awareness program on cyber fraud was organized by the police department. With cybercrime increasing day by day in the state, there is a growing need for public awareness to prevent it. In response, the state police department has launched a targeted campaign.

As part of this initiative, the Nabarangpur and Umarkot police departments today organized a bicycle rally starting from Ma Pend Temple, covering all wards of the town to educate people about cyber fraud. Citizens were informed about reporting cybercrime and were given the 1930 helpline number. The rally also focused on how to stay safe from cybercrime and take precautionary steps through public awareness and community cooperation.

College students participated in the program along with police officers, including Nabarangpur SP M. Sunil Sampat, Nabarangpur DSP Saroj Kispata, Umarkot SDPO Shubhendu Shabar, Raighar Police Station Officer Raghunath Majhi, Kundhei Police Station Officer Akshay Brahma, Jharigaon Police Station Officer Pradeep Kumar Shabar, Umarkot Police Station Officer Ramakant Sai, SI Shivaji Panda, Akshay Mishra, ASI Bishwaranjan Padhi, Narendra Golapi, and all other local police personnel and community leaders.
