Cuttack, 9th Oct 2025:  Tensions have eased, the unrest has calmed, and now normalcy is returning. The city of Cuttack is beginning to bustle once again.

The curfew that had been in effect was lifted on Tuesday at 10 AM. Gradually, everything is returning to the way it was before. Shops and markets have reopened, and businesses have resumed. After being confined indoors for two days due to the curfew, people have started stepping out. The daily lives of Cuttack residents are getting back on track.

As per earlier orders, internet services were restored at 7 PM on Tuesday evening. Citizens, who had been under tight security, are now beginning to breathe a sigh of relief and peace.

Since Sunday, the city, known for its spirit of brotherhood, had faced disruption due to law and order issues, but today, peace is slowly returning.

Despite the noise and confusion, the police are keeping a strict watch on antisocial elements, rumor-mongers, and groups trying to incite violence. Particularly, rumor spreaders will not be given any opportunity to incite or spread false information.

Plainclothes police personnel are patrolling various neighborhoods. Anyone found attempting to incite violence or spread rumors will be immediately removed from the location, the police have warned.

The administration has also stated through media that strict legal action will be taken, and those found guilty will be jailed under stringent sections of the law.

From Sunday onwards, there have not been any major incidents of violence or disturbances reported in Cuttack city or surrounding areas.
