Bhubaneswar, 7th Nov 2025: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held on February 8, 2026. In this regard, a notification has been issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The examination will be conducted in 132 cities across the country and in 20 different languages. Candidates will have the option to choose their preferred language for the test.

Detailed information regarding the exam schedule, syllabus, eligibility criteria, examination fees, and test centers will soon be available on the official CTET website: https://ctet.nic.in.

The CTET will consist of two papers:

  • Paper I — for candidates aspiring to teach classes I to V (Primary level).
  • Paper II — for candidates aspiring to teach classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary level).
  • Each paper will carry 150 marks and will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking.

It is important to note that qualifying the CTET examination is mandatory for teaching positions in Central Government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other central educational institutions.
