Bhubaneswar, 1st Nov 2025: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on February 8, 2026. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official notification regarding the examination.
The test will be held in 132 cities across the country and conducted in 20 different languages. Candidates will be able to choose their preferred language from the list provided.
Detailed information regarding the exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, examination fees, and test centers will soon be made available on the official CTET website: https://ctet.nic.in.
The examination will consist of two papers:
- Paper I for candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V
- Paper II for candidates aspiring to teach Classes VI to VIII
- Each paper will carry 150 marks and include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking.
It is important to note that qualifying the CTET is mandatory for teaching positions in Central Government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other central educational institutions.
