CRPF Personnel Laid to Rest with Full National Honour

Jhumpura,16th Oct 2025:  Sub-Inspector Balaram Behera (57) of the 52nd Battalion of the CRPF, posted in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir, passed away on Sunday evening while undergoing treatment. On Tuesday morning, his mortal remains reached his native village Khuntapada under Jhumpura police station limits, where his final rites were performed with full national honour.

On Tuesday morning, the mortal remains of the late Sub-Inspector Behera arrived in the village in a grand procession. Hundreds of people from nearby areas gathered to catch a final glimpse of the brave soldier. As they paid tribute to his bravery, everyone shed tears of patriotism in remembrance.

His last rites were conducted at the village crematorium with full national honour. Present at the ceremony were Jhumpura BDO Hridananda Aja, Jhumpura police station in-charge Samabari Hansda, and other dignitaries. The native soil was drenched in tears of patriotism.

CRPF Assistant Commandant Jagmohan Rao from Bhubaneswar, E.S.R. Mahapatra, and local leaders including Esthai Kishore Lugu were present, along with CRPF personnel, many intellectuals, prominent individuals, and local representatives who paid their respects and offered tributes.

On behalf of the CRPF, a financial assistance of ₹75,000 was handed over to his wife Mandakini Beher
