Papadahandi, 2nd Sept 2025: A training program under the New India Literacy Program was conducted at the Semala Cluster Resource Center in Papadahandi Block, under the guidance of CRCC Babulal Sagar. The training involved participation from headmasters of various schools. During the session, CRCC Sagar emphasized the social responsibility of teachers in educating people between the ages of 15 to 35, by surveying and identifying them, and training them as volunteer learners under the literacy initiative.
From 1st September to 7th September 2025, week-long activities like awareness meetings and educational rallies in villages will be organized. This was highlighted based on directives from the Department of Mass Education.
ABEO (Assistant Block Education Officer) Papadahandi and Nodal Officer of the New India Literacy Program, Sudarshan Nayak, also participated and encouraged use of the ULLAS app for collecting and updating personal data of learners. He stressed that through literacy, individuals can understand and manage basic daily life necessities.
ABEO Purnachandra Pujari joined the meeting and discussed how society should recognize and appreciate the contributions of teachers, especially when they extend education to the community. He also informed that cluster-level meetings involving three clusters will be held to enhance awareness and strengthen the program.
Prominent participants of the meeting included Semala Headmistress Twaheera Nirmal Kumar, Parameswar Sahu, Milan Gahir, Ramesh Dhwania, and others. In conclusion, CRCC Babulal Sagar thanked respected officers Nayak and Pujari Sir for their motivational and meaningful presence and officially declared the meeting closed.
