The two variants mentioned by the central government are not considered highly dangerous. In Odisha, only one case has been reported. The patient’s health is stable, and no symptoms have been observed in their family members.
The guidelines have been updated: if there are no symptoms, family members will not be tested. The Health Department is in contact with the Centre, ICMR, and WHO.
