Nabarangpur, 12th Nov 2025:– On the occasion of Corruption Awareness Week 2025, the district administration and the Anti-Corruption Department have organized various programs from 27th October to 2nd November 2025. On 27th October 2025, at Kosagumuda Block, during a joint public grievance hearing, District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain presided over the event, where all government officials took the Integrity Pledge.
Similarly, officials and employees across all blocks, tehsils, district offices, municipalities, and sub-collector offices also took the Integrity Pledge. At Ashok Meheta Community Hall, Additional District Collectors Rajashwa Bishwajit Barman and Tapan Kumar Khuntia, along with DIP RO Manoj Behera and other district office staff, participated in the pledge-taking ceremony.
During the week-long celebrations, all blocks are conducting awareness village meetings, marches, competitions among school and college students, assemblies, and prize distribution events. At the block-level programs, video presentations are conducted, and tehsildars, block-level officers, and vigilance DSP Jayshree Pradhan are present to create awareness against corruption.
Corruption is a major obstacle to the country’s economic and social progress. To eradicate it completely, officials are being urged to work with a sense of service, integrity, and honesty. This year, the theme of Corruption Awareness Week is “Corruption Eradication: Our Collective Responsibility.”
On 28th October 2025, at Oswan Hall, local district officials and additional collectors attended the state-level Corruption Awareness Week program held at the Loksseva Bhavan Convention Center, where the Honorable Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi watched the live broadcast and took the Integrity and Honesty Pledge.
On 1st November 2025, the district-level Corruption Awareness Week will feature awareness marches, meetings at local Mission Shakti halls, and various competitions among school and college students, with prizes being distributed to the winners.
