Coordination Meeting Held for Effective Implementation of Gramadyaya Scheme

Nabarangpur, Jan 27: A district-level coordination meeting was held at the District Parishad Conference Hall under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain to review the implementation of the Gramadyaya Scheme for comprehensive development in Raighar, Jharigaon, Chandahandi, and Dabugam blocks.

The meeting focused on ensuring saturation of various public welfare schemes, improvement of living standards, development of basic amenities, people’s participation, and identification of deprived beneficiaries in 30 selected villages across these four blocks. A survey will be conducted by committees nominated by the administration in these villages.

Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, ASP Aditya Kumar Sen, and Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra were present at the meeting.

The Zilla Parishad department will conduct surveys in the 30 villages covering drinking water supply, roads and transport facilities, fair price shops, residential schools, healthcare services including vaccination, pensions, and ambulance services, among other departmental schemes.

Additional Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Jadumani Nayak, conducted the proceedings of the meeting.

After completion of the survey, if any issues are identified in the Gram Sabha meetings, proposals will be sent for departmental approval following clearance from the district administration. The District Collector directed district-level departmental officers to expedite comprehensive rural development under the Gramadyaya Scheme in the 30 villages and to complete the survey work at the earliest.

For this purpose, a block-level committee will be formed with the BDO serving as Chairman and Block Nodal Officer, while the Additional Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad will function as the District-Level Nodal Officer.
