Dashapalla, Feb, 10: All arrangements have been made for the consecration of the newly constructed temple of Shri Shri Trinath Jiu and the installation of the deity idol at Khandapada village under Ward No. 6 of Dashapalla NAC.
The three-day-long ceremony will be conducted by eminent Vedic priests of the village. Rituals such as Adhibasa, purification of the land, establishment of the yajna kund (sacrificial altar), and invocation of the five deities (Pancha Deva Avahana) will be performed. For the rituals, sacred river water was brought from the Kuaria River by hundreds of women and placed in ceremonial pots (ghata sthapana).
From today, rituals including Ghrita Yajna, Vastu Yajna, and Antaryajna are being performed. Every evening, a Nama Yajna (devotional chanting) will be conducted by Sankirtan groups, as informed by the village president.
Councilor Chittaranjan Gochhi is overseeing and managing all the arrangements. The concluding ceremony (Purnahuti) of the event will take place on Saturday evening, according to the villagers.
