Rayagada : The Matriculation (10th grade) examination results have been declared. While the statewide pass percentage stands at 94.93%, Rayagada district has achieved a slightly higher pass percentage of 97.33%. Only 269 students were unsuccessful in the exam.
Out of 10,294 students who registered from 100 schools in the district, 193 students were absent during the exam. Interestingly, boys outperformed girls this year in terms of success rate.
Breakdown by grades:
Grade A1: 3 students
Grade A2: 80 students
Grade B1: 423 students
Grade B2: 2,786 students
The majority of students passed in Grade C with 4,276 students, while 1,269 students secured Grade E.
In total, 9,831 students passed, including 4,973 boys and 4,858 girls.
Importantly, no school in the district reported a zero pass rate.
In recognition of this success, District Collector Parul Patwari, District Welfare Officer Asima Rao, District Education Officer Ram Chandra Nahak, and Welfare Department CI Shyamghan Bhuyan congratulated the students.
However, the low number of students achieving A1, A2, and A3 grades has raised concerns and sparked questions about the quality and effectiveness of the education system in the district.
