Dabugaon,Dec, 24:A complex-level sports competition was celebrated at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Dabugaon, Nabarangpur district. The event was organized under the chairmanship of Headmaster Satyaranayan Chaudhuri. The chief guest of the event was Suresh Samal, former Headmaster of Jamorunda Shishu Mandir, while Sanjay Kumar Padhi, editor of the Shishu Mandir management committee, also participated as a guest of honor.

The chief guest, Samal, emphasized the equal importance of sports alongside academics for children. He stated that sports help maintain the health of every part of the body and, through competitions, children also develop independent identity and confidence.

During the morning inauguration ceremony, Pradeep, sports teacher of Dabugaon Government (New) Panchayat High School, lit the ceremonial lamp. The event was also attended by M. Surya Narayan Subuddhi, president of the Shishu Mandir management committee, as a guest of honor.

The top-ranking students in the children and adolescent categories will participate in the block-level sports competition at Kesinga in January.

The complex-level sports competitions were supervised and conducted by Santosh Kumar, under whose guidance students including Pradeep, Ashwi, Ashish, Nitya, Sudhir, and Sadan Gurujis competed. Other teachers, including Bhaskar Chandra Mahapatra, Laxman Nayak, Prashant Biswas, Manasingh Goud, Ram Prasad Biswas, and Mast Gurujis, also assisted in smoothly managing the event.

The competition emphasized both physical fitness and discipline, while fostering teamwork and participation among students.
