Community Protests Erupt Against Kodiga LAMPS MD Over Alleged Mismanagement

Nabarangpur: Allegations have surfaced against Sushant Khura, the Managing Director (MD) of Kodiga LAMPS under Kosagumuda block. Farmers have written to the Chief Minister demanding his immediate removal, accusing him of misconduct and mismanagement.

Farmers Write to CM Demanding MD’s Removal

Over a hundred farmers, including Subrat Mahapatra, Radhakanta Mahapatra, Phagunu Samartha, Shashank Shekhar Mishra, Lakshmidhar Bisooyi, and Nirakar Bisooyi of Pujariguda village under Kodiga LAMPS, have raised serious concerns. They claim they are exhausted from repeatedly filing complaints to the ARC, DRCS, local representatives, and administrative officers — all without result. In frustration, they have now written directly to the Chief Minister, hoping the new BJP government will understand their plight.

They allege that Mr. Khura is not just the MD but has turned himself into the undisputed authority over LAMPS. He allegedly handpicks board members at will and maintains total control over the management committee. When farmers go to the LAMPS for fertilizers, they often return empty-handed due to unavailability during critical times. This forces them to buy fertilizers from the market at higher prices, incurring losses.
